ProTax Light is a simplified version of Forbes Computer Systems outstanding tax package for agent use, Protax. Yet, it still retains all the key features of the full software package. Described as ‘arguably the most user friendly software available’, ProTax Light is becoming increasingly popular for individuals.

    • How much?

    The individual tax return covers all sources of income such as employment, self-employment, share-schemes, partnership, land and property, foreign, capital gains and non-resident, and the price is £20+VAT. The partnership return (SA800) and individual is £28+VAT.

    The quoted price is for a downloadable installation (8Mb for windows version) or the Safari based Mac version and is exclusive of VAT. These prices are for completing the current tax return. To complete tax return for next year you will need to purchase again.

    The software will be in demonstration version until you pay and receive an unlock code via email. The demonstration version is the same as the normal version except :-

  • The return will have the words “DEMONSTRATION VERSION” printed on it.
  • You will not be able to file electronically.

    • Other than that, you will be able to complete returns etc. and decide if the software fits your requirements. Once you are happy, click on the link to pay for the software and receive an unlock code.
